Refund policy
American Stone Center – Return Policy, Cancellations, Exchanges, and Refunds

By placing an order with American Stone Center, you agree to the following terms. These policies are designed to protect both the customer and our company, while ensuring fair practices in the natural stone industry.
1. Return Eligibility
Most items are eligible for return unless stated otherwise (see Non-Returnable Items). To begin a return, email us your order details (name, order number, photos if applicable) or reply to your order confirmation email for return authorization. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
2. Proof of Purchase
A receipt or order confirmation is required to complete all returns.
3. Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for all return shipping arrangements and charges. American Stone Center does not cover these costs under any circumstances unless the return is due to our confirmed error.
4. Partial Returns
Partial returns are not accepted. Only complete orders may be returned.
5. Cancellation Fees

Cancellations within 24 hours: Subject to a 5% processing fee.

Cancellations before shipping (after packing): Subject to a 10% fee or eligible for a full refund as store credit to avoid the fee.

Cancellations after fulfillment or shipping: A 25% restocking fee applies under all circumstances.
Orders placed on hold at the customer’s request and later canceled are also subject to a 25% restocking fee, as this prevents us from selling the material to other buyers.
6. Return Period

Items must be returned within 30 days of delivery in original packaging and condition.

A 25% restocking fee will apply to all returns (unless the return is due to our error).

Shipping costs (both original and return) are non-refundable.

Customers are responsible for any breakage or damage during return transit.
7. Condition of Returns

Items must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging with all labels and tags intact.

Returns not meeting these conditions will not be refunded.

Customers must pack items securely and are strongly advised to insure return shipments and use a trackable method.

American Stone Center is not responsible for breakage or damage caused by poor return packaging.
8. Refunds for Damaged or Missing Returns
Refunds will not be issued for:

Items damaged during return transit.

Returns that are lost and never received.
9. Pre-Shipment Inspection & Damage Allowance

All orders are inspected before shipment.

Up to 5% breakage during transit is industry-accepted and may be used for necessary cuts.

If damage exceeds 5%, note it on the delivery receipt and take photos. Submit claims within 24–48 hours.
10. Incorrect Product

If you receive an incorrect product, notify us within 1–2 business days with photos.

If confirmed, American Stone Center will cover all shipping costs and arrange pickup.

Failure to notify us within this timeframe voids eligibility for correction.
11. Natural Variations in Stone

Natural stone varies in color, tone, veining, and texture.

Variations are not considered defects and are not grounds for return, refund, or dispute.

Website and sample images are for representation only. Actual material may differ.
12. Correct Product Returns
If you receive the correct product but still wish to return it, the 25% restocking fee + shipping costs apply. Customers are encouraged to order samples before placing large orders.
13. Exchanges
Direct exchanges are not offered. To exchange, initiate a return (if eligible) and place a new order.
14. Restocking Fee
All returnable items are subject to a 25% restocking fee, no exceptions, unless the return is due to our error.
15. Complete Returns Only
We do not accept partial returns. Returns must be full orders.
16. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are final sale and not eligible for return, refund, or exchange:

Custom orders or non-stock items

Hand-made or special-sized products

Clearance, sale, or close-out items
-
Accessories (e.g., wall plates, switch plates)

Any item marked “as-is”
17. Inspection Before Installation

All products must be inspected before installation.

Once installed, products are considered accepted and are not eligible for return, refund, or claim.

Installation damage is not covered.
18. Late or Missing Refunds
If you have not received your refund after notification:

Check your bank account.

Contact your credit card provider.

Contact your bank.
Refunds typically take 3–7 business days to process, but additional time may be required depending on your bank.
19. Legal Protection & Disputes

By purchasing from American Stone Center, you agree to these terms in full.

Customers cannot file disputes or chargebacks for reasons covered by this policy (e.g., natural variation, color differences, restocking fees, shipping costs, or non-returnable items).

Any disputes will be governed by the laws of California, USA.
